Winter Soldiers Arise II – New Years Eve 2017

I was asked to share a prophetic word for the year at a dear friends church on New Year’s Eve. The worship was powerful, the atmosphere was charged and God said share the Winter Soldiers Arise word, so I did. I shared the entire download that was in the December 2017 Blog. There were a few new aspects that Holy Spirit wanted to highlight that evening and I feel compelled to share here.

Three Prophetic Parallels

Trenton & Princeton & Philadelphia as cities are prophetic pictures of our nations current struggle. 

  • (Trenton = “town by rapid stream”, founded by the quakers in 17th century by William Trent. It is now the capitol of New Jersey.  settled in Philadelphia. As a merchant trader, he became quite wealthy, eventually being one of the most affluent men in the city.[1] He had extensive trading interests in furs, goods, and slaves, Trent became one of the wealthiest men in Philadelphia.[2]) (Credit Wikipedia.com) 
  •  Princeton (In Latin the meaning of the name Princeton is: Principal one; first. They defeated British reinforcements under Lord Cornwallis at Trenton on January 2, 1777, and defeated his rear guard at Princeton on January 3, before retreating to winter quarters in Morristown, ( morris means =dark skinned) New Jersey. (Credit Wikipedia)

There is a video on youtube called “the 10 days that changed the world.” It has significant prophetic parallels to the church in this season. We hear Father saying to alert his people to pray between December 25, 2017-Jan 3rd, 2018. These 10 days parallel the dates of these victorious battles at Trenton and Princeton and we ought to look and take notice.

  • Prophetically, God is taking us back to battle at the place where our country and the church allowed slavery and poor treatment of first nations people in our founding days and He is dealing with the root of it. We need to God  back. We all want to move forward, many don’t want to go back and deal with the pain and difficulties of our past, but we must if we are to overcome them.

We are in a war for our nation for the advancement of the kingdom of God and our liberty and freedoms to worship and uphold righteousness in our land- much as they were in their day! There were two battles at Trenton and then a final victory on Jan 3rd at Princeton. These warriors were not funded by the congress they served, they survived by donations from Philadelphia – the city if love. Many could not or would not join in the fight because they were sick, wounded or simply didn’t believe Washington would win.  Washington almost turned back because the troops were so few, masses were sick and they did not have the necessary provisions, but they forged onward! 

Dare to do greatly! 

These troops formed a sentry line around the landing area in New Jersey, with strict instructions that no one was to pass through. The password was “Victory or Death”

“It is not the critic who counts; not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles, or where the doer of deeds could have done them better. The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena, whose face is marred by dust and sweat and blood; who strives valiantly; who errs, who comes short again and again, because there is no effort without error and shortcoming; but who does actually strive to do the deeds; who knows great enthusiasms, the great devotions; who spends himself in a worthy cause; who at the best knows in the end the triumph of high achievement, and who at the worst, if he fails, at least fails while daring greatly, so that his place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who neither know victory nor defeat.” – President Theodore Roosevelt. Many scoffed at Washington and the size of his army, the rag tag team that remained faithful to the cause.

We submit that Father God is saying 

We hear Father God encouraging us, “Winter Soldiers Arise, Cross-over, this battle is not for the summertime soldiers but for those who have remained true to His Kingdom cause and have been strengthened to continue in-spite of life threatening conditions. Find your officer and stay close. This is not a time for generals to stay home, you must lead your troops!”

Now is the time to cross over!

December 23, 1776 Thomas Paine wrote a speech to embolden the soldiers who had valiantly stayed in the fight. They stayed at their own cost and stood their ground based on their understanding that they were fighting a battle that would benefit those far beyond their lifetimes.

This excerpt from Paine’s letter jumped off the page as I read it.

“THESE are the times that try men’s souls. The summer soldier and the sunshine patriot will, in this crisis, shrink from the service of their country; but he that stands by it now, deserves the love and thanks of man and woman. Tyranny, like hell, is not easily conquered; yet we have this consolation with us, that the harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph. What we obtain too cheap, we esteem too lightly: it is dearness only that gives every thing its value. Heaven knows how to put a proper price upon its goods; and it would be strange indeed if so celestial an article as FREEDOM should not be highly rated.’…..

Tis surprising to see how rapidly a panic will sometimes run through a country. All nations and ages have been subject to them. Britain has trembled like an ague at the report of a French fleet of flat-bottomed boats; and in the fourteenth [fifteenth] century the whole English army, after ravaging the kingdom of France, was driven back like men petrified with fear; and this brave exploit was performed by a few broken forces collected and headed by a woman, Joan of Arc. 

Yet panics, in some cases, have their uses; they produce as much good as hurt. Their duration is always short; the mind soon grows through them, and acquires a firmer habit than before. But their peculiar advantage is, that they are the touchstones of sincerity and hypocrisy, and bring things and men to light, which might otherwise have lain forever undiscovered. They sift out the hidden thoughts of man, and hold them up in public to the world..I thank God, that I fear not. I see no real cause for fear. I know our situation well, and can see the way out of it. Written December 23, 1776

God is showing you, me, the church a way out of the tensions we are seeing in our culture right now. We His people are being called to lead the way, to stay in the fight, to be winter soldiers and arise to fight the good fight of faith.

There are three keys to gaining the victory

Joy is the key to victory in this season of war at the door! The root of joy is gratefulness! Romans 12:12 “Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.”

Forgiveness releases us into our governmental authority and brings restoration of all things. As we forgive those who have sinned against us much like Jesus did on His cross. We too must take up our crosses and walk in love and forgiveness only then when we commit our spirits into His hands will we come forth with resurrection power.

Grace: A grace-filled community expects and anticipates imperfection in us and in others. (TrueFace 41) but His perfect love always forgives, always loves, always perseveres and always hopes. It is the goodness and the kindness of God that leads men to repentance. Ro 2:4. In our pain the temptation is often to lash out to defend ourselves, to prove our point. Doing so in this season will not advance the kingdom of God, but merely perpetuate hurt, pain, confusion and miscommunication. Let’s be grace-filled communities.

A Six Year Battle Followed to Finish the War

These 10 days are vital to the future of our Nation! ADVANCE NOW!” It is also important to note they went on to fight for 6 years before finishing the battles all together and securing American freedoms. Spiritually that would take us through 2024, the same year we expect the 2nd American Eclipse after the one just 7 years prior in 2017.- Selah.
