Our Beliefs

Our Verse: “For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.” Hebrews 4:12

We believe in One God, Maker of heaven and earth, manifested in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

We believe that God loves and embraces all people from every tongue, every tribe and every nation.

We believe that Jesus Christ, born of a virgin, was crucified, died, was buried, raised on the third day, and lives eternally as Savior on behalf of all who come to Him.

We believe the fullness of the Godhead dwells within Jesus Christ. He is fully God and fully Man. Jesus Christ has been given all authority in the heavens and in the earth. He is King of kings and Lord of lords. He is God over all gods. He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life and no man comes to the Father except through Him. The name of Jesus Christ is the only name by which man can be saved.

We believe in the Person of the Holy Spirit who empowers and fills all believers in Jesus Christ who desire His presence.

We believe the Scriptures to be the holy and inspired Word of God.

We believe that God wonderfully and immutably creates each person as male or female. These two distinct, complementary genders together reflect the image and nature of God (Gen 1:26-27). Rejection of one’s biological sex is a rejection of the image of God within that person.

We believe that the term “marriage” has only one meaning: the uniting of one man and one woman in a single, exclusive union, as delineated in Scripture (Gen 2:18-25). We believe that God intends sexual intimacy to occur only between a man and a woman who are married to each other (1 Cor 6:18; 7:2-5; Heb 13:4). We believe that God has commanded that no intimate sexual activity be engaged in outside of a marriage between a man and a woman.

We believe that because God has ordained marriage and defined it as the covenant relationship between a man, a woman, and Himself, Shekhinah International will only recognize marriages between a biological man and a biological woman. Further, the pastors, ministers, clergy and staff of the organization shall only solemnize marriages between one man and one woman.

We believe that any form of sexual immorality (including adultery, fornication, homosexual behavior, bisexual conduct, bestiality, incest, and use of pornography) is sinful and offensive to God (Matt 15:18-20; 1 Cor 6:9-10).

We believe that God offers redemption and restoration to all who confess and forsake their sin, seeking His mercy and forgiveness through Jesus Christ (Acts 3:19-21; Rom 10:9-10; 1 Cor 6:9-11).

We believe that every person must be afforded compassion, love, kindness, respect, and dignity regardless of gender, ethnicity, age, beliefs, or economic status (Mark 12:28-31; Luke 6:31). Hateful and harassing behavior or attitudes directed toward any individual are to be repudiated and are not in accord with Scripture nor the doctrines of Shekhinah International.

We believe that the wonderful news of God’s love needs to be shared with all people and is a priority on God’s heart.

We believe that God loves all with an everlasting love.

Our Values

Our Verse: “And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ—to the glory and praise of God.” Philippians 1:9-11

Born out of intimacy with Jesus Christ, Shekhinah members labor in love for the exaltation and glorification of His name and the advancement of His Kingdom in the earth. He alone is our focus and purpose. He alone is to be exalted.

Ministry is a vehicle through which we express who Jesus is — He is love. So all we do needs to be done in love. Our words and actions must bear witness of His heart for those we serve, and those we serve with.

We are believers and not doubters. All things are possible through Him, if we only believe. The promises in His Word are yes and amen to us. Shekhinah International possess a strong faith in Jesus Christ of Nazareth as Savior, Lord, Healer, Provider, Baptizer in the Spirit, and Deliverer.

Members of Shekhinah International Leadership walk in humility. All attitudes of self-promotion, desire for title, name or fame, and other self-agendas have been laid down at the foot of the cross by those in the network.

As those with a servant’s heart, we prefer others and look for ways to bless and support. Our purpose is to assist others in fulfilling their destiny call.

Jesus Christ IS our righteousness — God’s gift to us and is received by faith and not by works. The Lord gives us everything we need pertaining to life and godliness, but it is our choice in how we walk in these gifts. May we be known for our pure hearts, right living, integrity, and bible-based morals.

We believe that the Lord is worthy of the first fruits as part of our worship unto Him. Shekhinah International sow generously and cheerfully in all things: talents, time, finances, and gifts.

Jesus looks upon each and every person with love. He sees the truth, beauty, and potential in each one. We are called to do the same — see people as He sees them; honor and respect them for whom God created them to be. This pertains to all we minister to and serve with. God honors honor. As Shekhinah International members we honor Him and others well.

The words of our mouth release blessing to others. We speak words of life — words that encourage and uplift. When issues arise, we process with one another in love. No corrupt communication proceeds from our mouths and we do not speak negatively to or about others.

The Scriptures are the holy and inspired Word of God. We join with Him to minister His Word accurately, always in alignment with His heart, delivered in truth, and in love.

Jesus commanded us to go make disciples baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We all join with Him in this great commission. A disciple of Christ is capable, willing and able to lead others to Christ and help them grow in both character and the charismatic gifts. Freely we have received and freely we give our time and talent to help others mature and multiply other disciples.
